Dr. Lafayette will share his experience as a Baptist minister, civil rights leader, peace and social justice advocate, and educator. A member and co-founder of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, Dr. Lafayette, a trusted colleague of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., participated in the most significant civil rights campaigns of the 1960s. Co-sponsored with the Black Cultural Center, Carter G. Woodson Center, African and African-American Studies, CCC, and President’s Office.
