Event Details

Discover beloved artworks from the Berea College Art Collection and visiting artists at the Doris Ulmann Galleries through a guided tour of current exhibitions led by Ainsley Golden, BereaCorps Art Collection and Gallery Associate. Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage with special selection of artworks chosen by our team and dive deeper into the Berea College Art Collection through close looking and conversation. For September, the focus will be on Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ “Untitled” (L.A.) (1991), an installation piece on loan from Art Bridges and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (Bentonville, AR) for the “All Peoples of the Earth” exhibition.

“Discoveries” tours begin at 11:00 in the Dimitrie Berea Gallery on the second floor of the Rogers-Traylor Art Building on select Fridays during the academic year. These free, monthly events are open to students, campus community, and visitors. To participate, please register in advance at https://bctrace.com/explore/.

For additional information, or to schedule a group visit on days other than Fridays, please contact Ainsley Golden at goldena3@berea.edu or 859-985-3849.
