The Log House Craft Gallery recently underwent a major renovation. While preserving the beauty and history of the 102-year old structure, the gallery now has a more contemporary and open floor plan. The original structure has to be tended to on a regular basis with loving care in order to take care of the original logs and beams. Inside, we replaced all of the decades-old fixtures with new and exciting fixtures that make roaming around the Log House even more fun. This 2-story retail store in Berea is the oldest and longest running craft gallery in the state. Travel upstairs where you’ll see several upgrades to the original kitchen in an effort to preserve the structural integrity of the room and make it more shopper-friendly.
Along with the new look, there are also more artists. There are currently 433 artists from Appalachia and around the country on display, with more slated to join after the holidays. There are also many new items such as apparel, jewelry, pottery, glass art, and garden art. The Gallery continues its original mission of supporting artists in and around Appalachia. When you make a purchase at the Log House Craft Gallery, you know you are supporting the time honored hand-crafted traditions of local artists.
Soon, you’ll be able to shop online at the Log House Craft Gallery! Our team of students begin work on a new e-commerce platform when they return from break in January. We’ll be sure to let you know when it is up and running!
